What are the requirements to become a single needle artist?

Each state and county hold different regulations. Please make sure you call your local health department before signing up for the training, because that is who regulates Body Art Tattoo Artists. + Most states will require you to have a tattoo permit and work in a permitted facility. It is very important and crucial to follow the regulations of your state and county. + You are required to have your BBP (Blood Born Pathogens) certificate and/or up to date and valid in your state and county you will be working. You will be given the chance to complete this during your first day of online training but will be an extra cost espense to you. Typicall ranges from $10-$15. YOU MUST BRING THIS CERTIICATE TO YOUR TRAINING.

No previous licensing is needed to start your career as a single needle artist.

Terms and Conditions

By placing your deposit, you agree to all the terms and conditions listed below. This Single Needle Tattoo Course Training Agreement (“Agreement”) is entered this
_____ day of _______, 2020, by and between Tiny Tat Club, LLC, a Utah limited liability
company (the “Company”) and ______________________ (the “Student”).
WHEREAS, the Company offers a 3-day training course in single needle tattoo (the
WHEREAS, the Student desires to attend a Training and be trained in single needle tattoo
on the terms and conditions in this Agreement;
NOW THEREFORE, for good and valuable consideration set forth herein, the receipt and
sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged, the Student and School agrees as follows:
1. The Training. The Training will be on three consecutive days from 10am-5pm, on
________, 2021, with a lunch break. Lunch is provided by the Company. On the first day
of Training the instructor and students will discuss various topics and theory of tattooing
and practice on pig skin or fake skin. The following topics will be discussed: products,
depth and technique, skin types, sanitation and disinfection, bloodborne pathogens
review, art, and procreate system. The Company will also demonstrate single needle
tattooing on a live model. On the second day of Training, the Student will be able to
practice single needle tattooing on up to 2 models, while being observed by the instructor.
a. Material Kit. The Company will provide the Student a Kit for the Training
including the following items:
i. Tattoo machine with power supply

2. Tuition. The Student hereby agrees to pay the Company a total of $____________
for the Training and Kit. In order to secure a training date, an $700 non-refundable
deposit is required upon execution of this Agreement. The remaining balance of
$____________ is due and payable no later than one (1) week prior to the Training.
3. Student Duties. The Student agrees to the following:
a. Attend the Training on time and for the full 3 days.
b. Prior to the Training, the Student must obtain and provide evidence of bloodborne
pathogens certificate of completion of an OSHA complaint training.
4. Acknowledgments by the Student. The Student acknowledged and agrees as follows:

a. The initial $700.00 payment is absolutely non-refundable. The $700.00 non-
refundable deposit shall not be pro-rated based on any Student’s ability to attend a portion of the Training. If a Student is unable to attend the complete three-day Training the student shall forfeit the $700 non-refundable deposit. Furthermore, the $700.00 non-refundable deposit shall not be applied to any future courses or Training. In the event a Student fails to attend the Training and desires to sign up for another course or Training, the Student will be required to pay the full amount for the additional Training, including any non-refundable deposit required to
reserve a spot in the course.
b. The Training requires full attendance by the Student on all days, with important
topics being discussed on the first day that are essential for the Student’s success
on the second day. In the event Student fails to attend the first day of Training the
Student shall not be entitled to attend the second day of Training not withstanding
the Student’s ability to attend the second day of Training.
c. Due to the physical demands of single needle tattoo, it is not suitable for persons
with neurological disorders that cause uncontrollable shaking, muscle spasms, or
trembling that would impair them from safely or properly engaging in single
needle tattooing;
d. It is the sole responsibility of the Student to contact their respective state, county
and city licensing and health departments to inquire about licensing and insurance
requirements for single needle tattooing. Each city, county or state may have
different requirements for single needle tattooing. Many government agencies have licensing and permitting requirements, including working in a permitted
e. In order to become proficient at single needle tattooing personal effort, practice
and skill is needed. There is no guaranty or promise of success or profitability in
the event the Student elects to perform single needle tattooing as a business.
5. Confidential Information. The Student may not use (except for personal use), share, copy
or distribute any text books or written materials provided by the Company, including a prohibition against using such materials in teaching or training other individual single needle tattooing. The Student agrees and acknowledges that the Company has spent
significant amounts of time and money developing the following: printouts, books, and
materials services and any other item designated “Confidential” by the Company, and
other information used by it in its business that has great value and that enhances its
ability to compete in its market (hereinafter, “Confidential Information”) The Student also agrees and acknowledges that the Company has private information and will not train before 1 year of hands on experience and will create their own content to be used in those trainings.
6. Indemnification. The Student shall defend, indemnify and hold the Company, its owners,
employees, contractors and instructors harmless from all losses, costs, liabilities,
damages, claims and expenses of any kind, including reasonably attorneys’ fees and
costs, arising out of or resulting from (1) any breach or violation of any federal, state,
local or municipal law, statute, ordinance or other governing law by the Student; or (2)
the Student’s single needle tattooing of any person.
7. Severability. Should any part of this Agreement be finally declared invalid for any reason
by a court of competent jurisdiction, such invalidation shall not affect the validity of the
remaining portion hereof, which remaining portion shall continue in full force and effect.
8. Governing Law, Jurisdiction, and Venue. This Agreement is governed by the laws of the
State of Utah in all respects, and the Parties hereto consent to exclusive jurisdiction and
venue in the courts of Salt Lake County, State of Utah.
9. Entire Agreement. This instrument sets forth the entire agreement among the parties and
supersedes all prior agreements, whether written or oral. All parts of section titles or
paragraph captions of this Agreement are for convenience only, and shall not be deemed
part of this Agreement, and in no way define, limit, augment, extend, or describe the
scope, content, or intent of any part or parts of this Agreement. Any amendment must be
in writing signed by both parties.
10. Binding Effect. This Agreement shall be binding upon and inure to the benefit of the
Parties hereto and their representatives, successors, and assigns; provided, however, that
this provision shall not be construed as permitting assignment, substitution, delegation, or
other transfer of rights or obligations Student.

11. Waiver. No failure by any party to insist upon the strict performance of any covenant,
duty, agreement, or condition of this Agreement or to exercise any right or remedy
consequent upon a breach hereof shall constitute a waiver of any such breach, any
subsequent breach of the same obligation, or of any other covenant, agreement, term or
